The department of Transportation and Infrastructure is looking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Business Continuity Lead (PM3), within the Preparedness and Response Branch under the Emergency Management Division. The Manitoba Emergency Management Organization works closely with all levels of government, the private sector, volunteer agencies and other non-government agencies to promote and co-ordinate emergency management, prevent the loss of life, and minimize damage to property and the environment.

Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess and maintain a full class 5 Manitoba Driver's license.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to travel throughout the Province of Manitoba with possible overnight stays, as required

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary education in public administration, business, emergency management, disaster management or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and extensive experience may be considered.
- Extensive experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- Experience with supervision, including mentoring, coaching, and leading diverse teams.
- Experience managing projects, including creating work plans, coordinating work, and monitoring progress using project and change management principles and practices.
- Experience conducting research and analysis for policy/project development, implementation and recommendation of strategies and policies on cross-departmental matters for various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience making decisions independently that involves a high degree of risk.
- Excellent written communication skills including the ability to research, analyze, summarize, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate formally and informally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong political acumen for navigating sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Manager, Business Development and as a member of the Manitoba Emergency Management Organization, Preparedness and Response Branch, the Business Continuity Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and oversight of a provincial business continuity management program. The key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive business continuity management program across the Government of Manitoba and developing adequate training, tools, and guiding documents relating to business continuity. The position is responsible to recommend, implement, and manage improvements and innovations for the provincial business continuity management program. The Business Continuity Lead works collaboratively with multi-levels of government/agencies and multi-disciplinary teams.
