North Battleford, Canada Discovery Co-operative Ltd. Full time

The ideal candidate for this position will excel if they can keep their calm in a high pressure environment coordinating the logistics of the CEO of the company. The candidate should have some relevant experience to the role that highlights their capability to conduct all administrative work, making sure the CEO's operations run smoothly. Thus, the candidate should be detail oriented and a creative problem solver. 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the CEO in the coordination of activities for the Board of Directors, including but not limited to room bookings, meal/snack ordering and making travel arrangements. 
  • Prepares monthly/quarterly board packages and reports for the CEO in advance of the board meetings, ensuring all information is kept at the strictest of confidence. 
  • Accumulates and compiles all business planning materials from Management and the SLT into a single document for board. Supports the SLT with preparation for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), including development of materials and reports. 
  • Prepares the weekly mystery shopper report, as well as the annual Sustainability and Loop program reports. 
  • Prepares and distributes the monthly newsletters on behalf of Discovery Co-op. Coordinates the ordering, distribution and billing for the ID Apparel Program, TeamBook Program, and Christmas Cards/Gifts for Tenant/Vendor/Team Members.
  • Supports the Senior Leadership team as required. 
  • To be familiar with adhere to Discovery Co-op Policies and Procedures.
  • To live the Co-op brand every day and perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are: 

You are looking for a career in Administration and:

  • Business Administration or Executive Assistant Diploma Required. All relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  • 3 - 5 years relevant progressively responsible executive administration preferred. 
  • Co-operative retail experience is an asset. 
  • Proven ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines with competing priorities and balancing multiple stakeholders.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of computers and business communication skills and tactics including letter writing, memo writing, minute taking, report and presentation writing. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Secures and organizes resources effectively and efficiently. 
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with key business partners.
  • Exceptional customer service and organization skills.

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

                Flexible work arrangement available offering a blend of remote and in-office collaboration.
