The Role:

The QA Automation Analyst’s duties primarily involve developing and executing detailed test plans and test cases for both manual and automated tests. Design, build, and maintain automation scripts using tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Jest for the UI, Playwright for UI testing, and Postman or SoapUI for APIs. Manage test environments and integrate tests into the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline to streamline testing and deployment processes. In this role, you will analyze test results, document software defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

The QA Automation analyst requires extensive knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Jest for front-end testing, Playwright for UI testing and Postman or SoapUI for APIs. In addition, you will have experience with CI/CD processes, Agile development, and version control systems such as Git. This role directly reports to the Software Development Manager.

The successful candidate can expect to:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
  • Design, build, and maintain automation scripts using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, particularly for new software features and integration work.
  • Manage testing environments and integrate tests into the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline to streamline testing and deployment processes.
  • Analyze test results, document software defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance testing strategies and tools to improve test cycles and software development outcomes.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a QA testing role with a strong emphasis on automated testing.
  • You are proficient with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Jest for front-end testing, and Postman, SoapUI for back-end testing, and Playwright for UI testing.
  • You are experienced with CI/CD processes, Agile development, and version control systems such as Git.
  • You are a detail-oriented problem-solver with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • You have some experience with SQL and scripting
