Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Shared Services team, responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage month-end activities for non-operating business units, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Implement and maintain an effective internal controls environment compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Lead the Corporate budget-actual review process, analyzing financial results by department and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide finance support to senior executives, including planning, forecasting, and annual operating plan development.
  • Develop monthly forecasts for Corporate and other non-operating entities.
  • Support the annual operating plan process for Corporate functional departments and other non-operating entities.
  • Oversee internal invoicing from Corporate and group entities.
  • Train and develop co-op students, as well as supervise the responsibilities and tasks of other team members within the financial reporting team.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and accounting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Accounting experience in public accounting and/or in a manufacturing environment, with some experience in public company external reporting and compliance preferred.
  • Experience with large ERP systems such as JDE or SAP software is preferred.
