We are seeking a highly skilled Autocad Technician with commercial/industrial experience in architectural design, technical drafting, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will play a key role in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and supporting construction projects from inception to completion.

Lead the design, development, and oversight of architectural and structural drawings , including shop, fabrication, and installation drawings, using Autocad, Inventor and Revit.
Take ownership of project management activities , coordinating schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution from concept through completion.
Oversee the development of structures , including commercial buildings, offices, and supporting layouts, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
Design and coordinate office layouts, commercial structures, and site plans , integrating amenities such as washrooms, service areas, and parking facilities.
Supervise and coordinate trades, professionals, and direct labour , ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and on-time delivery.
Conduct site reviews and inspections to verify construction conforms to drawings, specifications, and performance standards.
Liaise with engineering and technical consultants to resolve design and construction issues, maintaining alignment with project goals.
Support in the budgeting, scheduling, and scope management , while driving efficiency and compliance with Ontario Building Code and industry best practices.

Diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years’ progressive experience in commercial and industrial architectural design, drafting, and project management .
Proven ability in structure development and design , including offices, amenities (washrooms, service areas), and site planning (parking and grading).
Proficiency in 2D Autocad and 3D inventor and knowledge of Revit will be an asset.
Sound knowledge of the Ontario Building Code with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance on-site and in design.
Excellent communication, leadership and coordination skills , with the ability to work across engineering, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Skilled in office layout planning, HVAC coordination, structural detailing, and site development .
