JYSK is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Human Resources Team, based in our beautiful home office in Coquitlam, BC. As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for effectively and accurately processing semi-monthly payroll in a high-volume payroll department. You will report and take direction from the Payroll and Benefits Manager and ensure a timely and accurate delivery of payroll and all other related services.

This temporary role is for a 2-year contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter new hire information into ADP WorkforceNow.
  • Process transfers, promotions, leaves, and terminations in ADP WorkforceNow.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried colleagues.
  • Process terminations and ROE’s.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related transactions.
  • Develop and update complex reports.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the payroll data on the HRIS.
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations online.
  • Perform other payroll and benefits related duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Knowledge of Canadian (Federal and Provincial) payroll legislation.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Ability to meet multiple demands in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining a “can do” attitude.
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Canadian payroll – for 200+ colleagues – is required.
  • Working experience with ADP WorkforceNow is preferred.
  • PCP certified or enrolled in the National Payroll Institute (NPI) certification program.
  • Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting is preferred.

Compensation: Generally, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
