Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner provides subject matter expertise and strategic support to the assigned internal client groups. In this role the Talent Acquisition Partner works with the Team Lead and HR Business Partners to design and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies, ensuring the delivery of top talent, and acting as an extension of the hiring team to ensure hiring decisions are the right business decisions to support the growth of our internal teams.

What you’ll do:

The Talent Partner is accountable for a positive candidate and hiring manager experience, and to ensure all recruitment practices are aligned with the global recruitment strategy.

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Own the process from posting to offer, and effectively manage multiple requisitions and candidates during high volume periods
  • Build diverse pipelines across assigned client group and roles and work to execute the recruitment strategy
  • Proactively meet with internal teams/hiring managers to understand upcoming recruitment and future recruitment goals
  • Effectively manage and assign all approved requisitions, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience
  • Work closely with the Geotab Global HR leaders and external recruitment agencies
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are understood and establish structured interview processes where candidates are assessed against the appropriate criteria
  • Communicate regularly with hiring managers to maintain an effective recruitment process and a great candidate experience
  • Ensure all job postings are aligned with company standards, and updates with business needs to meet Market demands
  • Work in partnership with the Compensation team and HR leaders to address all compensation related needs, approvals, and changes
  • Use recruitment tools (such as LinkedIn Recruiter) to fill niche positions
  • Coach hiring managers on interviewing skills and techniques and conduct candidate debriefs
  • Work closely with selected recruitment agencies for specific staffing requirements
  • Keep detailed and accurate metrics on time-to-fill, candidate sourcing, etc. for recruitment reporting, and provide reporting and insights to key stakeholders
  • Meet and/or exceed applicable recruitment KPIs
  • Keep recruitment and forecasting documentation up to date
  • Attend career fairs and other industry events, identify top talent and proactively initiate communications with passive candidates
  • Stay informed of industry trends, innovative recruiting techniques and methodologies
  • Track and report all incremental recruitment costs related to agency fees
  • Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with applicable hiring practices and legislative requirements
What you’ll bring to this role:
  • 5-8 years experience in an in-house or agency recruitment position
  • Post-secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience
  • Degree specialization in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Professional certification in Human Resources highly valued
  • Experience with high-volume recruitment and interviewing
  • Demonstrates highly developed recruiting skills including experience using behavioural based interviewing techniques
  • Highly developed consultative and coaching skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines
  • Proven sourcer and closer
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving issues independently
  • Keen eye for process improvement 
  • Detail oriented, approachable and able to engage and support others on the team
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of best practices for recruitment and hiring and understand the importance of building diverse and inclusive teams
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), LinkedIn Recruiter and other applicant tracking software
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization
  • Previous technical recruitment experience is an asset (applicable for technical teams)
