They’re looking for a hands‑on Accounting Manager to join their team in Whitby, Ontario. This is an on‑site role where you’ll work closely with the leadership team to drive financial strategy, manage reporting, and support operational excellence. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment and enjoy rolling up your sleeves, this could be the perfect fit. 🔧 What You’ll Do Provide strategic financial direction and insights to senior leadership Manage all accounting functions including AR, AP payroll, and general ledger Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations Supervise and mentor one accounting staff member Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Implement and maintain accounting systems and process improvements Provide financial insights to support business decisions Lead the implementation of NetSuite ERP (experience with NetSuite is a strong asset) Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Collaborate across departments to support project planning and financial decisions Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies 📚 What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role Experience in construction, millwork, or project-based industries Familiarity with subcontractor management, payroll, and invoicing Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems Strong communication and organizational skills A proactive, hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and leadership Competitive compensation package Opportunity to lead financial operations in a growing, specialized industry Collaborative team culture with direct access to leadership On‑site role with exposure to dynamic project environments Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Construction, Architecture and Planning, and Wood Product Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
