Overview A well-established and reputable business based in Whitby is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities Leading the financial input into the annual planning and budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational objectives. Supporting cost modelling and providing financial insight across production, logistics and sales functions. Producing accurate monthly management accounts, maintaining visibility of spend across raw materials, distribution and overheads. Conducting cost reviews with key stakeholders, challenging assumptions and ensuring financial discipline. Preparing variance analysis, identifying key drivers and supporting strategic decision-making. Developing and enhancing internal reporting tools and dashboards to support a fast-paced, product-focused environment. Presenting financial information clearly to stakeholders and partnering closely with commercial, sales and operations teams. Qualifications A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience. Industry experience, ideally within the fertiliser or wider manufacturing sector. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Confidence communicating complex information to non-finance stakeholders. Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
