To support our vision of empowered young women challenging and transforming the world, we are currently seeking a Vice-Principal, Senior School. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Principal, Senior School and faculty to create and deliver an exceptional Senior School experience for our students. The Vice-Principal, Senior School will assume day to day operational and select strategic responsibilities in the Senior School as outlined below that are aligned with school priorities, as well as best and next practices in education. This 100% position will include either a 50% Teaching OR 50% University Guidance Counsellor component based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and interests.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Programming

  • Working closely with the Principal, Senior School and faculty to deliver an exemplary program and student experience, aligned with school priorities and best practices.

  • Working with the Principal, Senior School to lead faculty huddles, meetings and support professional development.

  • Supporting teacher-performance appraisal processes and professional growth planning of faculty.

Senior School Operations

  • Supporting the Senior Administrative Coordinator on issues related to attendance.

  • Conducting admissions interviews and testing, and attending enrolment management committee meetings.

  • Assist in reviewing reports, policies and procedures related to the Senior School program.

  • Assist in the development of timetable creation.

School Community & Co-curricular Support

  • Oversee teachers and faculty in development and execution of Wellness Wednesday and Advisor programming.

  • Working with teachers, students, parents and administrative staff as required to manage issues and concerns in the Senior School (e.g. student discipline, parent concerns, operational issues).

  • Working with the Principal, Senior School to ensure timely and effective internal and external Senior School communications.

  • Represent the Senior School at special events throughout the year, including; admissions interviews, Open Houses, curriculum events, student social events, parent information evenings, etc.

  • Working directly with student leaders and faculty supervisors to ensure effective running of Senior School clubs and councils (e.g. Public Speaking and Debate Team).
