Bloomex is a leader in floral and gift retailing in Canada and Australia with the following real estate portfolio:


Canada:

  • 10 industrial properties (3 leased, 7 company owned) located in all major cities from Halifax to Vancouver. The typical facility is from 3,000 to 18,000 sq ft.
  • 14 (13 owned, 1 leased ) retail stores located in smaller Canadian towns. The stores ranges from 2500 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft. We are in high growth mode with our retail operations with plans to acquire or open up to 10 stores per year in the next 10 years.

Australia:

  • 5 industrial properties (all leased) located in all major Australian cities. The typical facility is 5,000 to 12,000 sq ft.

New Zealand:

  • One production facility in Auckland.

How you will make a difference:

It is a new position reporting to the Project Manager. It is created to bring the efficiencies and expertise to the correct maintenance and construction set up. We are looking for a person with hands on approach to take care of all our facilities repairs, maintenance, and assisting the Project Manager in construction.


Apprenticeship: Our Project Manager will mould you into a second-in-command, sharing his 20 years of diverse experience with you.


Responsibilities:

  • To maintain cost efficiently all properties in good working order to keep up with business needs
  • To optimize expenses cost
  • To control stores and industrial productions renovations.
  • To assist in the responsibility for renovation budgeting.
  • To travel in Canada and Internationally.


Your Talents:

  • Organizational: From communications to schedules, reports, estimates, and data input. "Houzz Pro" and "Door Loop" software is essential. Training provided.
  • Research: Searching for valuable info for Bloomex. From grants to potential collaborators, contractors and materials.
