La ou le chef de la direction de l’ABC rend compte directement au conseil d’administration de l’ABC. À la tête d’une équipe de neuf subalternes directs et d’une équipe totale de plus de 80 personnes, la ou le chef de la direction est responsable de l’élaboration et de l’exécution de la stratégie à long terme de l’ABC dans l’optique de créer de la valeur pour les membres et de veiller à ce que l’ABC soit un chef de file respecté dans le domaine de la défense des droits et des intérêts de la profession juridique.

La ou le chef de la direction est l’ultime responsable de toutes les décisions de gestion quotidienne de l’entreprise et de la mise en oeuvre des plans à long et à court terme. Cette personne assure la liaison directe entre le conseil d’administration et la gestion et communique au nom de l’ABC avec les membres, le personnel, les tribunaux, les autorités gouvernementales et le public. La ou le chef de la direction travaille également en étroite collaboration avec les directrices générales et directeurs généraux des divisions à travers le Canada.
