The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is entering an exciting new chapter and is seeking an extraordinary leader, trusted partner, and skilled strategist as its next Chief Executive Officer.
The voice of Canada’s physicians, the CMA is driving change in health and health care, and supporting the medical community. As CEO, you will help lead this effort, guided by the CMA’s ambitious strategic plan, Impact 2040 ( which aims to tackle the foundational issues confronting physicians and patients across Canada. Human-centered, you model the CMA’s values and exemplify inclusion, equity, trust, humility, and resilience. You appreciate the importance of diverse perspectives, sound governance, transparent decision making, and the respective roles of the leadership team, staff, and Board. Your managerial and financial instincts, acumen, and capacity to make decisions in a complex business and social enterprise will serve you well, as will your ability and commitment to converse proficiently in English and French. Internally, you are a prudent, savvy, and consultative administrator with experience in business, non-profit, health administration, or a related field.
