Position Overview As our Project Accounting, Financial Analyst – Junior, you will be responsible for supporting the financial management of parts sales orders and service contracts, including project set‑up, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and variance reporting. You will assist with project closings in SAP, accounts receivable follow‑up, and prepare invoice backup while collaborating with internal departments and external customers to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Location On-site in Cambridge, Ontario Your Day to Day as Project Accounting, Financial Analyst (Junior) Projects & Sales Orders – Set up and maintain projects in SAP/Timberline, monitor budgets, costs and cash flow, process scope or contract changes, and complete month‑end revenue recognition activities. Customer Invoicing – Prepare and issue invoices for time and material billings and stand‑alone sales orders, reconcile material costs, and compile invoice backup for customers. Forecasting – Support monthly cash forecasts and quarterly project forecasts, including bookings, revenue, costs, gross profit and billings, and enter data into the forecasting system. Meeting Preparation – Develop internal cost review materials such as profit statements and risk and opportunity lists, working closely with Project Managers. Compliance & Audit Support – Provide information for internal and external audits and ensure adherence to SOX, COSO and other internal control requirements. Required Qualifications Degree or diploma in an accounting‑related discipline. Minimum of two years in an accounting role. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, mainly Excel. Knowledge in SAP would be an asset. Some experience with spreadsheet applications, data manipulation techniques, VLOOKUP formulas, macros. Team player: able to work across different teams and contribute to a positive environment. Hands‑on, detail‑oriented with excellent analytical skills. Proven problem‑solving abilities. Compensation The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,000 and $90,000 per year. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits.
