Senior Financial Analyst – 6‑Month Engagement (Toronto, Ontario) Kitchener, Ontario, Canada – CA$53,000.00–CA$60,000.00 (4 days ago) We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our client’s finance team for a 6‑month contract. This role will focus on financial reporting, internal controls, and operational support within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes aligned with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct. Support the monthly reconciliation of balance‑sheet accounts and prepare audit working papers on a quarterly basis. Ensure financial reporting is compliant with IFRS and prepare intercompany and inventory reconciliations. Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to establish strong financial controls and compliance processes. Analyze various profit streams, identify key opportunities, and provide early warning of financial risks. Review project scope changes, cost variances, and forecast project work to manage schedules and budgets. Qualifications CPA of near‑completion or completed. 3+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. 2+ years in financial audit (external or internal), with strong knowledge of SOX and internal controls. Advanced analytical skills and comfort with complex financial transactions. A meticulous, hands‑on mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Effective communication and business‑partnering skills – the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
