Project Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Coordinator to join our Mechanical & Plumbing New Construction team in our Burnaby office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project execution from inception to completion, ensuring all phases adhere to schedule, budget, and quality standards. Strong follow‑through, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment are essential. Duties & Responsibilities Project Coordination & Administration Review project documents, drawings, contracts, and specifications; communicate potential issues or conflicts to the appropriate team members. Plan and manage daily operations and construction schedules while monitoring overall project progress. Liaise with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication. Track assigned tasks, commitments, deadlines, and deliverables to keep projects moving. Prepare and distribute meeting notes, action items, and follow‑up communications. Maintain organized and up‑to‑date project records and documentation. Procurement & Purchasing Issue Purchase Orders, maintain PO logs, and ensure proper approvals and documentation. Follow up with suppliers on pricing, lead times, backorders, deliveries, and discrepancies. Coordinate deliveries and pickups with field staff as required. Document Control & Project Processes Log and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and associated project documentation. Assist with change order documentation and tracking to ensure all scope changes are captured. Support project closeout requirements, including warranties, O&M manuals, and turnover packages. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a similar role within the construction industry. Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in documentation. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and meet deadlines. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with Procore and Jonas Enterprise is an asset. Strong technical skills related to construction documentation, scheduling tools, and workflow processes.
