Responsibilities

  • Lead policy and program initiatives, providing strategic recommendations, advice, and support to leadership, program teams, and committees.
  • Analyze complex information to prepare options and recommendations on policy issues and trends.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policy and program issues, conducting gap analysis and proposing solutions.
  • Facilitate continuous policy and program improvements based on evaluations, partner inputs, and best practices.
  • Issue guidance and coordinate with operational units to address and improve program or policy issues.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise for organization-wide policy/program development.
  • Oversee junior staff to ensure timely and coordinated action on policy/program initiatives.
  • Identify and research new policy questions to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Develop program goals, objectives, work plans, and track progress, managing committee activities.
  • Execute or oversee research on policy/program initiatives, conducting environmental scans and trend analysis.
  • Manage project aspects for complex programs and identify opportunities for scholarship.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with internal and external partners to advance policy agenda.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key partners, policy makers, medical associations, and research institutions.
  • Collaborate with experts and committees to develop policy positions and represent the organization on policy issues.
  • Identify opportunities to influence policy decisions and strategic directions for communications and advocacy.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and developing policy & program issues
  • 5+ years of experience applying qualitative/ quantitative research methods
  • Degree in Public Administration, Social Science, Humanities or related field preferred
