OverviewAt Paramount Power, we design, source, assemble and sell generators for the commercial/industrial market in Canada. We obtain experience designing and building generators and our sister company Ronnie’s has been servicing generators in the field for over 40 years. Our success comes from our diverse and talented team of over 60 people. As we continue to experience a period of growth, Paramount is excited to welcome new team members that share our passion for success, and provide the best life safety equipment/backup generators to the marketplace.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Technician will primarily perform diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance work on generators. Additionally, the Senior Technician mentors and trains other Technicians. This role is also accountable for responding to service calls for complex repairs and being part of the on‑call schedule.Inspect generators and perform maintenance requirements outlined in CSA C282 StandardPerform diagnosis and repairs of generator and transfer switch equipmentReview diagnostic recommendations and timelines with Technical AdvisorRespond to emergency service calls for complex repairsMentor and train other technicians, assisting with diagnostic assessments, if neededAccurately complete service work order forms and obtain signatures from clientsKeep customers abreast of generator conditionSubmit service work information to Service CoordinatorMaintain clean work environment, both in‑house and on client sitesClean‑up & set up of current day’s workAssist with ongoing shop workOther duties as assignedQualifications &College Diploma or Trades School is an asset5 years’ experience in a similar roleMechanically inclined with strong electrical/mechanical skillsFull understanding of the latest CSA C282 StandardInternal combustion certificationLicensed mechanic is an assetElectrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) certification is an assetHardworking & self‑motivatedAbility to work independently with multitasking skillsEffective communication & listening skillsProblem‑solving with high attention to detailTime management skillsSafety conscious with strong spatial awarenessAbility to lift heavy equipmentHow to ApplyKindly forward your resume and cover letter to careerspara@paramountpower.com and reference Sr. Technician Thunder Bay, in addition to providing your hourly wage expectations.Equal Opportunity StatementParamount Power Systems North Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer.
