Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the HR team to build and implement best practices relating to attraction, retention and development of employees based on understanding of operational requirements, research and technical expertise.
  • Assists managers in developing business plans for position development and recruitment.
  • Assists in the administration of the compensation program by developing job descriptions, coordinating salary evaluations and re-evaluations, and maintaining/updating necessary documentation.
  • Guides managers in the use of performance management systems, the development of performance plans and the preparation of relevant documentation for salary increases.
  • Assists in the facilitation resolution of conflicts and performance issues by suggesting tactics, participating in discussions and assisting with documentation


What you need to exceed:

  • CHRP Designation or acquiring is considered an asset.
  • 4+ years of work experience in a progressively responsible HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or Generalist role in a complex unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices in recruitment, compensation, performance management, succession planning, orientation and workforce planning.
