Human Resources Generalist

**Job Overview**
Are you ready to join the exciting team at Pilot & Co. North Bay? Pilot & Co. North Bay consists of Pilot Diamond Tools and Premier Mining. Pilot & Co. manufactures drilling tools that are known for their durability and reliability in the mining industry.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and control of human resources functions including payroll administration at our two North Bay locations. The Human Resources Generalist understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on confidentiality, accuracy, and efficiency in role.
**Responsibilities**
- Recruitment and retention of employees
- Payroll, benefits and pension administration
- Development and maintenance of human resources policies that comply with labour and human resources laws and regulations
- Ensure employee development and training plans are in place and organize and conduct employee education on Human Resources policies
- Advise and assist managers on the interpretation and administration of policies
- Act as the lead for complaint and/or incident investigations
- Align internal policies across both companies and ensure provincial and federal compliance requirements
- Maintain reports in accordance with company objectives and procedures
- Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster positive employer/employee relationships
**Qualifications and Core Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, CHRP certification an asset
- Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience
- Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks under tight deadlines
- A highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- A strong collaborator and effective team member who is adaptable and possesses analytical thinking skills
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft office tools etc.
**Working Conditions**
- Working in a busy manufacturing environment over 2 sites
- Minor exposure to dust, graphite and metal powders
- Travel between sites
