Our client, a $3,5B revenue technology corporation is seeking a specialist well-experienced in Vendor/Supplier Management

CONTRACT position: Sr. Vendor Management Specialist
DURATION: start ASAP until Dec 31, 2024
HYBRID work: 3 days from either North Toronto or Waterloo office

This person will be developing, implementing, and managing procurement programs and initiatives with a focus on vendor oversight, performance management, compliance, analysis, and reporting. Analyze/understand data from various sources/vendors, transforming this raw data into useful information to make sound business decisions or formulate recommended solutions. Develop vendor performance scorecards, dashboards, and trend analysis to enhance service excellence and operational effectiveness.

Required:
  • University education
  • 5+ years of experience in Vendor Management / Supplier Relations Management
  • Proficient in using suitable software packages such as SAP Ariba. Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) experience is an asset.
  • Strong research and fact-finding capabilities with research and advisory companies (i.e. Gartner)
  • Strong analytical capabilities and abilities to provide efficient and effective solutions
  • Ability to take initiative in recognizing data issues/concerns or areas where improvements could be made
  • Results-oriented and creative thinker with a focus on quality/improvement
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills with a proven ability to be a solutions-oriented decision-maker
  • Strong planning, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
