**Company Overview**:

- This is considered an intermediate Configuration Management position. The Configuration Management group exists to manage and implement change. These changes could be as basic as a document release/revision or as complex as a product configuration change where impact of the change on existing WIP and inventory must be considered. Individuals must be able to perform the Configuration Management functions by following the relevant procedures and processes.**Position Summary and Responsibilities**:

- Yearly Goals, Objectives and Priorities (GOPs) will be established for the associate which will define the expectations for the individual for the calendar year. These GOPs may be updated at the Mid Year Review or at other times as appropriate. The associate has the duty and the responsibility to ensure completion of these assigned tasks with expected thoroughness and to the defined standards within agreed upon time frames.
- Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the document control and configuration management processes.
- Maintain an accurate electronic filing system (“cur” directory) for product and process document records.
- Ensure all documentation to be released is reviewed for completeness.
- Ensure that all document releases and/or design changes are implemented accurately, effectively and efficiently through appropriate approvals and notifications.
- Execute appropriate changes to the ERP system as required by the ECO.
- Maintain up-to-date production related documentation and ensure that E-Binders for production changes are updated, in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback on potential process improvements that can be made within the Configuration Management group.
- Processing Portal requests for external archiving of documents including retrieval and shredding of expired documents.
- Maintain applicable Configuration Management department logs.
- Distribute relevant documentation to appropriate outside vendors, contractors, subcontractors and contract manufacturers.
- Ensure that documents communicated externally do not jeopardize the confidentiality of Teledyne DALSA’s intellectual property.
- Work with TDWO, TDMO and TDBI Purchasing, Manufacturing and Engineering departments ensuring materials disposition is dealt with effectively.
- Develop and maintain both manufacturing and engineering product BoMs.
- Maintain the completeness and accuracy of all product configuration information.
- Coordinate activities between relevant groups to ensure the seamless introduction of product changes into manufacturing.
- Respond to unforeseen challenges or uncertainties occurring due to configuration changes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ensure accuracy and consistency of documentation and data.
- Actively contribute/participate in the Configuration Management team to effectively and efficiently process document releases and product design changes.
- Follow through on tasks and complete on time and on schedule.
- Ensure that adequate information is available for CRB members to make a decision regarding the change.
- Assist and conduct, with Sales, the product rationalization process.
- Solve any related issues that may arise with documentation and engineering change requests, utilizing a sound problem solving approach with an emphasis on preventing the reoccurrence of the issue.
- Manage the affectivity of product changes for all products.
- Maintain the redline process and redline log created for control of marked up manufacturing documentation.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**

**Experience**

A diploma in business administration, project management or similar. Certification by the Institute of Configuration Management, CMIIB certified.

A minimum of 2 years experience in a Configuration Specialist A role or equivalent or 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of BOMs, change management and inventory management.
