Aon Is Looking For A Senior Broker, Mining As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Mining Broking Group within Aon.

What the day will look like Participates in client and prospect meetings
Collaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
Collaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
Collaborates to build national initiatives around Casualty lines of coverage
Provides guidance, training and mentoring to assist in the development of less experienced Brokers within the national group
Builds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations
Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
Negotiates with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
Follows up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met
Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
Establishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients
Performs other related duties as required
How this opportunity is different As a Mining Broker with Aon's Mining Centre of Excellence, you will negotiate with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients.
Skills and experience that will lead to success 5+ years of insurance background and knowledge is required
Expertise in Casualty is an asset
Expertise in the Natural Resources / Energy / Mining sector is an asset
Broker licensed is an asset
Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
