This role is a senior role, a leader, influencer and a force multiplier not only for the team but across disciplines, engineering, product and design. This person should be equally comfortable talking to their team, senior management and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead discussions, planning, development, testing, building and maintaining scalable, resilient and high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  2. Work with Product Management and your development team to flesh out requirements through close collaboration.
  3. Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based applications that are loosely coupled, independent, and scalable.
  4. Leverage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to build, deploy, and manage distributed applications in the cloud.
  5. Develop secure RESTful APIs for high performance.
  6. Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated testing, building, and deployment of discrete micro-services.
  7. Implement monitoring and logging strategies using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch to ensure system health and performance.
  8. Collaborate with your team and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  9. Coach junior developers, perform code and design reviews, and foster innovation within the team.
  10. Build the best loyalty CRM in the world.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years Java development, building production grade software.
  3. 8+ years cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  4. Strong knowledge of polyglot persistence strategies.
  5. Expertise in agile framework, best practices and strategies.
  6. Strong customer-first mindset and advocate for the customer.
  7. Self-motivated, curious, open-minded, resourceful, agile and pragmatic.
