Reporting directly to the President and COO, the VP Legal Affairs and Risk Management is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will have responsibilities for both PHL and our operating company, Cowan Insurance Group (“CIG”)
Assistance with Fund manager due diligence, document review, compliance etc.Legal matters re owned and leased Property,
Executive owner of Information Security,
Maintaining and Managing the Group P&C Insurance Coverage matters
Policy Renewal
Claims
General Legal matters (regulatory and legislative policy monitoring)
Overall Corporate Policies (Investments, HR, IT etc.)Business Continuity Management
Management of the Whistle blower Channel
Annual Business Risk Assessment Process and ongoing reporting
Licensing process
E & O Reporting and Management
Best practice on Data security, including SOC II and Privacy, and adherence to changing legal requirements
Contract negotiation, review and ongoing compliance
Work with HR on policies procedures, Health and safety and employee relations issues
Deployment of new regulatory and legislative matters
CIG Director, Compliance and Quality Assurance
Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal work experience (law firm or in-house)
