The YMCA of Three Rivers is seeking a Vice President, Health & Wellness (H&W) with a passion and deep commitment for building connecting, thriving and shining communities in the regions we serve.
This role has accountability for the strategic and operational plans for a complex group of programs and services across our multi-site operations supporting our diverse regions. The role requires experience in planning and organization skills to ensure effective leadership oversights to unique programs with differing challenges and opportunities, capital and facility asset management opportunities and membership diversity. The position is responsible for the development and enhancement of relationships, to elevate our H&W operational programming positioning across multiple sites and regions, serving a membership base and experience for over 16,000+ participants.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Vice President will contribute to the execution of a newly developed strategic plan that will soon be activated. This role will be responsible for the planning and the achievement of strategic outcomes of programs and bring insights into factors affecting the workforce, and the people we serve.
Through a people-first lens and deep commitment to JAIDE (justice, access, inclusion, diversity and equity) and Well-being, the Vice President will lead and partner closely with a team of operational leaders to activate operational programming and practices across our Y to deliver high quality programs that exceed our participant experiences and operational excellence requirements, while contributing to the strategic plan's priorities and goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Excellence:
- Support the execution and alignment of the Strategic Plan and delivery of the H&W operational milestones within the plan; assume accountability for the development, implementation and evaluation of the key priorities.
- Provide leadership and assume accountability for budget planning and operational excellence measures for the service delivery areas in H&W.
- Identify opportunities for creative development of systems and processes towards improved efficiency and effectiveness of operations to enhance participant experience standards.
- Oversee the capital and asset management requirements, including annual budgeting, maintaining service standards, participant and employee experiences, and ensuring safety through audits and annual upgrades.
- Responsible for the budget development and management including revenue, expense and capital investment strategies related to existing programs.
- Provide leadership in managing complex situations, planning and implementation of strategic and tactical solutions.
What You Need to Succeed

- Required to travel between our regional sites and provide daily in-person presence at all operational locations to support service delivery, program and leadership oversights.
- Collaborate closely with these leaders and our People Team to align our people practices across the regions we serve.

- Establishes rapport and maintains effective relationship-building behaviours with employees, participants, and members.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Advanced post-secondary academic education or equivalent experiences with an ongoing commitment to learning & development.
- Leadership experiences in a complex, multi-site operations focused on delivering community programs and services.
- Deep commitment to our JAIDE (Justice, Access, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity) and Well-being work.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong change management and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts creatively.
- Commitment to JAIDE and Well-being with experience as an ally.
