The impact you will have:

The Coordinator, Research provides administrative support for research activities and programs. This role contributes to the smooth operations in MS Canada's research team that accelerates research in MS.

Key Areas of Impact:

  • Supports the advancement of scientific knowledge in MS through the timely administration of research team activities such as planning and successful execution of reviewing meetings and research workshops, database management, collecting and tracking project reports and supporting financial disbursements.
  • Provides meeting planning and coordination support for the Research team, such as coordinating Medical Advisory Committee meetings (i.e. logistics, distribution of materials, meeting minutes, etc.).
  • Coordinates and develops timely research communications, such as assembling the research newsletter, website content, and e-blasts.
  • Oversees the research portal, developed by MS Canada, that lists research studies.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has experience in project coordination, budgeting, and administration.
  • Understands scientific research and/or interest in research would be an asset.
  • Has exceptional organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Can address inquiries in a concise, accurate, and customer-friendly way.
  • Has excellent computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and internet platforms (considered an asset).
  • Has excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage overlapping timelines.
  • Has a professional, service-oriented attitude that demonstrates tact and diplomacy.
  • Has highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Has experience in financial tracking (considered an asset).
