Research Coordinator

Reporting to the Research Manager and working closely with the Senior Scientist, as well as members of the Collaborative Learning College team, the successful candidate's duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Providing coordination and assisting in the development and implementation of research and evaluation initiatives including study design, data collection, analysis, confidential storage, report writing and preparation of manuscripts for research publications and abstracts for conferences.
2. Conducting comprehensive literature searches.
3. Assisting in writing grant proposals.
4. Managing all aspects of data collection and processing.
5. Coordinating all relevant protocols to ensure compliance for scientific activities including Research Ethics Board (REB) protocols.
6. Monitoring day-to-day aspects of research projects.
7. Assisting with knowledge translation (KT) activities.
This role will have a focus on digital tools, artificial intelligence, and their role in co-production of research and programming. The Research Coordinator will work with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, supporting a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1025 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree in a health, social, behavioural or related science with at least two years of relevant research experience. Experience with digital tools, artificial intelligence, and their intersection with co-production of research and programming would be an asset. Identifying as a person with lived experience of mental health/substance use challenges is also an asset for this position.
Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, focus groups, as well as analyzing quantitative and qualitative data is required. Previous experience writing grant proposals, reports, and manuscripts for research publications is required. Solid knowledge of health equity principles is required. The successful candidate will possess strong PC software skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Internet search engines, and the ability to learn new programs quickly. High proficiency in qualitative data management software such as NVivo is required. Knowledge and experience with quantitative software such as R or SPSS is an asset. Demonstrating knowledge of KT strategies, methodologies and tools is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written), and organizational skills are required, along with creative problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboration and teamwork. Candidates also require the ability to work effectively in a wide-range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
