Senior Sales Executive - Mainframe Technology Services We are seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Executive with a strong background in sales, focused on legacy mainframe systems and applications optimization, transformation, and security. Join us in our mission to optimize and enhance our clients’ IT investments, working with Fortune 500 enterprise clients. You’ll be driving innovation, influencing strategy, and delivering outcomes that matter. Why Join Us? Work with industry‑leading clients across banking, finance and insurance. Tackle high‑visibility transformation programs collaborating with top‑tier technical teams in a flexible, remote hybrid environment. Location: The ideal candidate will be based in the Toronto metro area, with the ability to be regularly in the downtown area, where many of our existing and prospective clients are based. This is a remote role; CPT also has an office space in a major high‑rise in Toronto’s financial district. Key Responsibilities: Hunt for New Business: Develop and execute creative strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities. Performance Expectations: Deliver CAD$2M+ in new business within the first 12–18 months, focusing on Fortune 1000 clients in financial services, insurance, and health insurance sectors. Typical deal sizes range from CAD$150K–$500k. Demonstrate a clear understanding of enterprise sales cycles, from prospecting through to close. Build Relationships: Be the face of our company, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure they love working with us. Grow Accounts: Manage and grow existing accounts while always on the lookout for new clients to bring on board. Collaborate: Work closely with marketing, practice and delivery teams to enhance customer engagement and support sales initiatives. Develop Partnerships: Focus on partnership development and relationship building with large system integrators (SI's) and smaller boutique organizations. Hit Targets: Consistently exceed sales quotas while building a high‑quality pipeline and closing complex, consultative deals. Travel: Engage in regular travel/onsite visits to meet with clients and attend key industry events as part of business development and relationship management. Qualifications: Experience selling into large enterprise clients in the banking, insurance, and telecom space, successfully navigating IT orgs to forge new relationships with senior tech executives. Proven experience in IT Professional Services sales (consulting, managed services etc.) with a focus on new business development. Experience with IBM Mainframe and Mainframe security services is a significant asset. Major plus if you’ve worked with organizations like RBC, TD, Bank of Nova Scotia, CIBC, BMO, Manulife, Canada Life/Great West Life, Sun Life, OTPP, Desjardins, Rogers, Bell, Telus in previous roles. May have worked at or with organizations such as IBM, Kyndryl, DXC, Ensono, Accenture, Capgemini, EY or Deloitte in a professional services capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel. Demonstrated success leading complex sales cycles from prospecting through close, with multi‑year experience closing $500K+ professional services engagements.
