Natural Forces Solar is a dynamic engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance company in the renewable energy sector. Based in Dartmouth, NS, Natural Forces Solar provides innovative, robust, and cost-effective renewable energy systems to clients across Canada.Reporting to the President, the Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of our company’s operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of solar projects. This role requires a strong background in operations management, within the construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, operations management skills, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.Operational Management: Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness.Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Support the team, including project managers, engineers, and field technicians.Project Support: Monitor project performance, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to align project goals and objectives.Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and quality.Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize project workflows and resource allocation.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement.Financial Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency gains.Support the financial planning and analysis process, providing insights and recommendations for operational investments.Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.Oversee the implementation of safety programs and training for staff.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in the renewable energy or construction industry.Strong teamwork skills, particularly in multi-disciplinary technical teams.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.Collaborative Excellence: Dynamic team of renewable energy experts who are ready to support you with technical, construction, and contracting subject matter expertise.Elevated Growth: Open and transparent communication regarding your performance and personalized professional development planning to develop your skills and progress your career.Work Life Balance: Twenty-four (24) paid vacation days enabling you to spend quality moments with your loved ones and pursue your passions beyond work.Competitive Package: Access top-tier benefits, including competitive compensation, RRSP matching, comprehensive health coverage, dental care, life insurance, and AD&D.Flexibility Redefined: Embrace a dynamic work environment with flexible hours and full support in creating your ideal home office setup.Diversity, equity, and inclusion are critical to our clean energy mission.
