Position: Accounts Receivable Analyst Job Type: Full‑time contract (1 year) – benefits not included due to temporary contract Schedule: Monday‑Friday Language Requirements: English Working Conditions: Hybrid Location: Vaughan, ON Expected Compensation: $50,300 – $55,000 per year Purpose Coordinates and executes accounts receivable activities to ensure payments are received within the term, securing revenue by verifying and resolving discrepancies, assessing risk, and completing account maintenance reviews to mitigate bad debt and cash‑flow impact. Oversees billing, deductions, collection, reconciliation to the general ledger, and compilation of accounts receivable reports. Responsibilities Manages assigned portfolio of accounts, including reconciliations, collections, and support on deductions management. Reviews weekly AR aged trial balance (ATB) and aging; prepares statements. Executes appropriate collection strategies to improve period‑end/monthly cash flow and other key performance indicators (KPI). Liaises closely with sales and customer experience teams to resolve customer requirements and reconciliation issues. Educates customers on payment terms and options to drive cash‑flow improvements. Prepares and forwards weekly/monthly packages to customers for past‑due invoices, including proofs of delivery and spreadsheets when required. Researches and investigates account issues, monitors accounts, and controls non‑payments, delayed payments, and anomalies. Proposes changes to accounts receivable policy and procedures; participates in developing departmental goals, objectives, and policies. Responds to inquiries and resolves problems related to transactions handled by the department; liaises with other constituencies for day‑to‑day administrative and operational issues. Partner with sales, customer experience, and management to ensure high professionalism and customer service. Maintains the computerized accounts receivable system and department records, reports, and filing systems. Communicates effectively with peers and leaders in related functional areas to ensure customer satisfaction in line with company values. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education / Certifications Post‑secondary education in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience 2‑3 years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred. Prior A/R experience in the Food/CPG industry is heavily desired. Knowledge Advanced understanding of accounting, reconciliations, and accounts receivable functions. Knowledge of bookkeeping concepts and procedures. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 applications. Sound decision‑making within appropriate level of authority and adherence to company policy. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workload and handle changes in a fast‑paced environment while meeting deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Effective communication of precise account status information to customers and facilitation of conflict resolution. Team‑player who develops relationships with internal departments to resolve disputes and outstanding issues quickly. Self‑starter who takes initiative.
