Position Overview

The Rank Group is currently seeking a Vice-President, Property Management. The VP Property Management will be responsible for the overall direction and performance of a multi-faceted property management team. br/>
Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and providing leadership to a team of Property Managers, Chief Building Engineers, Building Operators, and Administrative staff - coaching, training, and motivating to ensure Company performance standards are met.
  • Overseeing and leading the annual operational and capital budgeting process for all properties.
  • Ensuring the Property Management team frequently communicates with tenants, seeking feedback on issues and/or areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring the Property Management team maintains the properties to the standard expected by ownership.
  • Providing direct oversight and approval of all major expenditures, in accordance with Company processes/policies.
  • Overseeing and negotiating major portfolio-level and/or property-level service contracts.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between the leasing, construction, and accounting teams for inter-departmental business activities.
  • Providing guidance and oversight into property-level tenant relations, property quality standards, and efficiency monitoring.
  • Maintaining senior-level tenant relations and resolving any high-level tenant issues.
  • Monitoring all work-flow and administrative processes and operational performance metrics to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to service standards.
  • Ensuring the Property Management team is actively engaged in the financial performance of the property operating costs.
  • Proactively identifying and leading property enhancement initiatives.
  • Conducting property-level assessments and inspections related to the overall tenant experience.
  • Providing regular updates to ownership on the performance of the portfolio.
  • Acting as a contributing member of the senior executive real estate team.
  • Other executive-level duties as determined by the owner.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in property management or facilities/building management.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., li>
  • Experience overseeing large capital projects.
  • Confident in overall financial skills - budgeting principles, cost analyses, financial reporting, computer systems, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of building and operating systems (e.g., general maintenance procedures, HVAC/electrical/mechanical systems, etc.).
  • BOMA designation is considered an asset but not required.
