Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience.

Completed a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. The successful applicant must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologists (ACSLPA). The successful candidate will be required to provide a criminal record check. Demonstrated ability to manage caseload in a timely and effective manner. Build staff capacity (teachers, educational assistants, LAC teachers, administrators, etc…) Formal and informal screening and/or assessment as required. Create treatment plans. Attend parent meetings to implement, review and report on a child’s IPP progress. Monitor a child’s IPP progress. Support Speech Language Pathologist Assistants / SLP EAs. Supply appropriate resources such as visuals, etc… Assist teachers and education assistants in providing developmentally appropriate practice. Maintain an inventory of materials, assessments, and supplies. Provide assistive technology and/or speech generating devices, and appropriate training. Maintain appropriate, confidential records, and provide timely reports (complying with standards of Alberta Learning). Meet with school teams. Communicate with your supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Benefits included (including pension plan).
