By being part of the health system team, we can ensure each patient has a well-coordinated care plan that remains consistent whether the patient is seeing their primary care physician, receiving treatment in a hospital, or under our care in the home.The Payroll Specialist II is responsible for calculating wages, deductions, commissions, bonuses, and taxes. The Payroll Specialist II will audit employee expenses through payroll and generate and process payroll reports to audit payroll systems and to provide detail to management.What We OfferWe provide medical, dental, and vision insurance with flexibility for you to select what works best for you. Finally, our benefit program includes company paid life, disability insurance, and a robust Employee Assistance Program.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the processing of biweekly and weekly payrolls for 1000+ employees through Workday’s web-based system to include processing of payments to various vendors for tax withholding, unemployment taxes, various forms of insurance, child support, garnishments and maintain records of partner-employee flexible leave balancesEnsures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followedMakes payroll corrections to resolve timecard issues, adjustments related to STD/FMLA and workers compensation, and others as neededReviews timesheets in Workday for completeness and accuracyReconcile ADP payroll tax accounts, weekly HSA/FSA and monthly Amtrust, and report differences to Accounting Manager.Audit weekly employee expenses through payroll; gas, tolls CPR and employee expense reimbursements.Assist with tax reconciliation and tax registrations and assist with year-end W2 prep and reconciliation.Responsible for back up to biweekly payroll, processing monthly arrears and loading weekly payroll files.Creates management reports to support recommendations for policy and payroll procedures including internal and external ad hoc reportsAnswers employee questions and maintains strict confidentiality of all payroll informationPrepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wagesMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and/or participating in professional societiesOther duties as assigned, including serving as back-up for other accounting team members when necessaryQualifications3 plus years payroll experience, and 3 plus years tax registration and reconciliation experience such as technical skills, software proficiency, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, etc.Multi-state, federal, and local tax experience requiredAbility to calculate net salaries, considering deductions and withholdingsProven ability to work productively, efficiently, confidentially, and effectively under a tight timelineProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to seek resources as neededProven customer service skills while maintaining a confidential work environmentEducation And CredentialsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferredWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
