Reporting to the Director Financial Control - North America, the successful candidate is responsible for the financial control activities of our Canadian arm. The main goal is to ensure accurate financial reporting, accounting policies compliances, and continuous finance process optimization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily :Manage all aspects of accounting functions for Canada.Responsible for accuracy of G / L and Financial StatementsLead and support on tax reporting, Internal and External auditsWork in partnership with business units for risk controls and compliances with IFRS and company policiesWork with HQ and Shared Services on continuous process improvementsResponsible for timely and quality closes for month-end and Year-endCollaboration across our global organization to support internal accounting needsLead other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as neededREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree in AccountingStrong knowledge of IFRSEight years experience in Financial Accounting, 3 years team leadership experience.Experience in public accounting preferredExperience with SAP, Oracle, Excel, Power PointQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIESThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.
