HR Strategic Partner (12-Month Contract)

Prince Rupert

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, the HR Strategic Partner supports the Talent Management Strategy by owning the entire talent acquisition cycle to attract and retain top talent. The HR Strategic Partner will also support Talent Programs and Strategies, including Strategic Workforce Planning, Leadership and Employee Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Organizational Design, Change Management, and Learning & Competency Development, all aligned to PRPA’s values-driven culture and strategic business objectives.

Accountabilities

Talent Acquisition and Direct Sourcing

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from position description to candidate offer and onboarding transition.
  2. Manage recruitment processing within HRIS.
  3. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs.
  4. Utilize different sourcing techniques to engage with potential candidates and build talent pipelines.
  5. Champion the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  6. Partner with recruitment agencies for hard-to-fill and critical roles.
  7. Maintain strong relationships with external partners.

Talent Acquisition Strategic Projects

  1. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and collaborate with talent networks.
  2. Analyze and report on recruitment metrics to assess the quality of the recruitment process and new hires.
  3. Participate in and host career fairs and talent networking events.
  4. Partner with the Manager, Talent Management, on workforce planning and organization design optimization.
  5. Own and develop early talent programs and alumni networks.

Human Resources Strategic Projects

  1. Collaborate with HR business partners on the operationalization of the Talent Management strategy.
  2. Work with various stakeholders to understand Talent Management needs and translate those into actionable solutions.
  3. Support the maintenance of the Talent Framework and cycles.
  4. Assist in designing talent programs, processes, and systems to achieve business goals.

Learning and Development Strategic Projects

  1. Collaborate with the Talent Manager and SMEs to create and deliver impactful learning content aligned with business needs.
  2. Facilitate and host engaging learning events and workshops to drive employee development and performance.
  3. Support the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, tracking completions, and generating reports.
  4. Assist in designing and implementing talent programs, processes, and systems to achieve strategic business objectives.

Job Specifications

Formal Education

  1. Preferably a University Degree, majoring in Human Resources Management or a relevant field.

Related Experience

  1. Generally, 2-3 years of related experience.
  2. Strong working knowledge of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management strategies.
  3. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Proven work experience as an HR Strategic Partner in Talent Management or a similar role.
  5. Experience in managing multiple activities specific to the content's objectives.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  8. Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Ability to assess skills and behavior and deliver feedback and recommendations.
  10. Experience with HR information systems and data analysis.
  11. Proven skills in training delivery, consulting, and classroom facilitation.
  12. Experience in creating and facilitating learning and development programs using adult learning theories.
  13. Ability to motivate, coach, and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  14. Excellent team collaboration and the ability to establish positive working relationships.
  15. Strong ability to manage and influence change.

The starting base salary range for this role is $86,755 - $108,444.
