This is a full-time permanent position.Why this role mattersThe Account Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining positive customer relations by identifying opportunities, supporting customer needs, providing up-to-date product information, and identifying solutions to any issues. They promote and recommend the best product mix for customers by maintaining current industry knowledge and striving to meet or exceed organizational sales targets.What To Expect In The RoleCustomer relations. Develop new and expand existing accounts with an approachable demeanour and a positive “customer first” attitude.Solution oriented. Think outside of the box to meet customer requests and provide effective solutions.Open communicator. Provide updates to customers on product updates and other relevant information, in both verbal and written form.Time management. Work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities as the company grows.Continuous learner. Previous electrical experience is an asset; regular product training will be provided to improve skills and knowledge.Driving sales. Analyze and utilize data to evaluate accounts, recognize revenue opportunities, and drive sales.Presentations. May be required to lead presentations and meetings.Going above and beyond. Availability outside branch hours by telephone or email for networking and relationship-building; some overnight travel may be required.Ideal candidate profilePost-secondary certificate or diploma in a relevant area or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious outside sales experience3+ years of experience in the electrical/lighting industry5+ years of sales and customer service experienceIntermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to use and learn new softwareOur Core ValuesCelebrating the Past, Empowering the FutureTeamworkIntegrityContinuous ImprovementResilienceEmpoweredWe thank all applicants for their interest.
