Role Summary:
As the **Accounting Manager**, you will have a hands on role managing the accounting operations to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements for our 14 retail locations and e-commerce division. You will be supervising one employee and will be reporting directly to the owners.
**Responsibilities**:
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- G/L maintenance and account reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash management
- Review and reconciliation of monthly sales
- Draft and monitor budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of reports for management team
- Internal and external customer support
- Work with external accountant for income tax filings
- Ensure compliance with company’s accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with other projects as required
Position Requirements:
- Accounting degree or designation
- Minimum three years full cycle accounting and financial reporting experience
- Supervisory experience
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Sage software preferred
- Payroll experience is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, prioritize and execute
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
