Our client, an industry-leading company focused on AI and next-generation computing solutions, is seeking a Senior Director of Hardware Systems Engineering. As a senior leader, you will drive innovation in AI/ML hardware systems, guiding a team of electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers to deliver cutting-edge products that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on technical leader with extensive experience in hardware systems design for complex systems. In this role, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. You will also play a key role in fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment to ensure the continued growth and success of the engineering team.Oversee the full product development lifecycle from design, testing, and validation to deployment.Recruit, hire, and retain top talent to meet the company's evolving engineering objectives.Drive execution of hardware design projects, ensuring that products meet customer and market demands.Work with program management to develop project plans, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful product delivery.Manage customer and factory product issues, overseeing root cause analysis and resolution efforts.Plan and manage the hardware engineering budget, ensuring proper resource allocation and tooling for project success.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.Strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and thermal system design and validation.Proven experience with high-speed PCB board design, validation, and debug, including digital interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, and DDR memory.Expertise in DFX principles, with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, and cost efficiency in electro-mechanical packaging technologies.Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.Familiarity with design tools like SolidWorks and PLM systems such as Arena is a plus.Proven leadership experience managing teams of managers and directors, with strong skills in mentorship and collaboration.
