The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Managers, trades, and clients to oversee all on‑site operations while also stepping in on the tools as required. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient jobsite in compliance with WorkSafeBC and company standards. Conduct site meetings, ensure clear communication between all project participants, and maintain accurate site documentation. Lead by example — uphold professionalism, quality, and teamwork at every level. Carpentry & Hands‑On Work Perform high‑quality carpentry tasks as needed, particularly during framing, finishing, or critical phases requiring craftsmanship. Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site challenges proactively and resourcefully. Mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, ensuring adherence to VPCM standards. Quality & Process Management Implement VPCM’s Proven Process and construction management systems to ensure every project meets expectations for quality, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with Project Managers on budgets, timelines, and procurement. Ensure inspections, checklists, and quality assurance steps are completed throughout all project stages. Client & Team Relations Represent VPCM’s brand and values on site with professionalism and respect. Communicate clearly and positively with clients, architects, designers, and trades. Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5+ years residential construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or site management role. Proven ability to manage high‑end custom home and renovation projects. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building codes, and site safety. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Proficient with digital tools (Buildertrend or similar project management software) – experience preferred. Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable vehicle. Who You Are A hands‑on leader who takes ownership and sets the standard for quality. Calm under pressure, solution‑oriented, and dependable. Detail‑driven, organized, and committed to continuous improvement. Proud of your craftsmanship and motivated by doing things right. A team player who values collaboration, respect, and integrity. What We Offer Competitive compensation, based on experience and skill level. Vehicle allowance for company‑related mileage. Extended health & dental benefits. Opportunities for growth within a respected, expanding company. A positive, values‑driven culture that recognizes excellence and teamwork.
