Job Description:

This position is responsible to assist the Health Services/ Mental Health Care Manager with the delivery of services that are consistent with policies, standards, legal requirements, philosophy and mission of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Mental Health Nurse B works under the direction of the Mental Health Manager in the assigned sector/region. The position, under the direction of the Mental Health Manager, directs Mental Health activities in order to provide care to clients. In the absence of other Managers, the position has the authority to direct the activities of the program.

Experience Minimum 1 year supervisory experience 1-3 years' experience in mental health services required. Intermediate computer skills with experience in excel and word Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Other Education and Training Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Competencies Leadership skills Basic - Supervisory skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to apply research to nursing practice Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
