Job Description:

Competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. Demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates expertise.

Experience Minimum 1 year supervisory experience Minimum 3 years recent experience in Mental Health related services Nursing experience working with clients with chronic mental illness Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Time management skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of RPNAS Code of Ethics Knowledge in individual assessment and counselling skills Knowledge in various mental disorders, etiology, treatment and intervention Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act and Family Services Act Knowledge of Rehabilitation Program Guidelines demonstrated Knowledge of Social Assistance Program Regulations Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
