p>Our client is a successful public Canadian company in the financial industry located downtown Toronto. They are looking to hire a Director of Architecture for a full-time position, 2 days per week in the downtown office.The Director of Enterprise Architecture and Digital Strategy at this company will work under the VP of IT. The role involves overseeing software application design, development, and implementation, contributing to IT strategy, and identifying opportunities for innovation. This person will manage a team of 5.This person should have grown through hands-on Architecture positions, culminating in people management role(s). Our client is mostly a Microsoft Shop (.NET, Azure, Power Apps, SharePoint, etc.), they run MuleSoft for integration and Salesforce for CRM. They do have other custom developed and COTS for mortgage/investment management.This person will be 'the right-hand person' for the VP of IT and will be managing application vendors (e.g. offshore development), work on architecture best practices, and manage Data and BI architecture for the organization.8+ years of architecture and design experience with application integration, B2B, and API technologies (e.g. li>Competent in multiple programming languages (i.e. Java, C/C++, XML, Python, etc.)Experience directly managing small teams and vendors (e.g. offshore development) Great communication skills (technical & non-technical stakeholders) Ability to come into the office 2 days a week Salesforce and MuleSoft experience Software development background Technical Debt Management (legacy apps) Diversity Statement
