Our Operations department is a talented group of professionals who are committed to conducting our business in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the public, our employees and contractors, our assets and the environment. p>Plains currently has an immediate opening for a Facility Engineer to join our Operations Engineering Group. As a Facility Engineer you will be responsible for:
Providing Operations and Maintenance technical support, delivering maintenance projects, and optimization/troubleshooting activities at the Buck Creek Fractionation Plant (near Drayton Valley), Edmonton Storage Terminal, and Fort Saskatchewan Fractionation and Storage facility.Participate in incident investigations, process and equipment failure analysis, emergency response drills and actual events as required.Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering is preferred and Registered Professional Engineer (APEGA);Minimum 3 years facility/operations/project experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry;Working knowledge of industry codes and regulatory requirements;Knowledgeable in project management processes;Safety certifications relevant to the industry are an asset;Permanence residency within 120 KM of the Fort Saskatchewan facility is required;Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract;Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.This position can be based at the Plains Fort Saskatchewan facility or Buck Creek plant (Drayton Valley) but will require 1-2 days per week of travel to other field office locations (Buck Creek – Drayton Valley, Sherwood Park – Edmonton Terminal, Fort Saskatchewan) using a company vehicle.
