About Alberta Operations:
At Fort Saskatchewan, Dow Canada operates four world-scale production units that manufacture hydrocarbons, ethylene, polyethylene, and electricity. As one of Canada’s largest petrochemical facilities, Dow Canada can serve Dow’s global customers.
These opportunities may support Engineering efforts for the Path2Zero (P2Z) program, which will create the first net-zero emissions site of its kind in the world. p>
About you and this role:
As an Engineer at Dow, you will have a variety of opportunities related to chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. Engineers must use sound technical judgment to enable safe and efficient plant operations. Key roles include Maintenance, Production, and Improvement Engineering. In these roles you will fill one of several technical resource roles where you will provide technical support to plant operating personnel in order to maintain the safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities may include providing technical expertise in areas such as maintenance & reliability as well as production operations and project engineering. Responsibilities may range from chemical plant operations, process improvements, predictive/preventative maintenance, failure analysis, reliability strategy development, and vessel/piping design to manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solving, yield and process improvements, waste reduction, safety enhancements, process control, cost optimization, project management and implementation, equipment design, and new technology implementation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
