Department Managers are responsible for the sales results and daily management of their area. This includes executing marketing campaigns, managing inventory, and participating in meetings in addition to the duties of a sales associate. This position is for our Kent store located at 809 Bishop Drive, Fredericton, NB.

Kent in Fredericton South is currently looking for a Front-End Department Manager.

Manage associate performance through feedback and identifying training opportunities.Supervise front-end cashiers, customer service, and gatehouse associates.Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the front end/customer service.Assist at the customer service desk with refunds.Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages.Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff.Requirements:
  1. Strong mathematical skills and basic computer system knowledge.
  2. Experience as a Retail Supervisor is an asset.
  3. Experience in retail sales and supervision is preferred.
  4. A knowledge of department products is an asset.
  5. Typical career steps are to manage larger departments prior to becoming an assistant store manager.
