Reporting to the Executive Director of Adult Custody Services and the Director of Criminal Intelligence Service NB (CISNB), the Correctional Intelligence Analyst will provide support to the branches of Correctional Services NB (CSNB): Adult Custody Services, Community and Youth Justice Services, Sheriff Services and Crime Prevention and Program Development.

**What you will do**

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends and patterns in relation to criminal activities in New Brunswick correctional institutions using data analysis tools and software;
- Producing regular reports, analyzing trends and risks occurring/originating in institutions;
- Working with Correctional Services NB to enhance and improve data collection to better understand criminal activities and risks in provincial correctional institutions;
- Conducting surveys with peace officers in New Brunswick under the direction of Correctional Services NB to help monitor training needs, identifying gaps and other issues that may arise;
- Conducting research, compiling and analyzing statistics and information to provide intelligence to Correctional Services NB to inform risk management strategies;
- Providing reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders;
- Liaising and communicating with federal/provincial/municipal and NGO partners.

**Need to have (essential qualifications)**:

- The applicant must obtain a security clearance at the level of TOP SECRET, in accordance with the Government of Canada Security Policy (RCMP).
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

**Nice to have** **(asset qualifications)**:

- Knowledge and experience working with records management systems;
- Knowledge and experience with source debriefing reports;
- Experience in a correctional environment.

**Operational requirements**:A valid driver's license to carry out duties throughout the province.

**Wage: $2,762 to $3,675 bi-weekly.**
