Medical Service Plan Extended Health & Dental coverage Municipal Pension Plan Relocation Allowance The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for the overall development and maintenance of strategic and operational relationships with internal and external partners. This includes other health authorities, provincial organizations and private sector suppliers with whom we develop service-related relationships. A significant focus of the Director, Supply Chain is participating as part of the provincial health system supply chain in an effort to drive improvements and optimize operations, performance, and costs. As an advocate for Interior Health supply chain needs, the Director is responsible for monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of provincial service level agreements, and negotiating changes and priorities with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).Monitors performance and holds the provincial supply chain accountable for meeting service level agreements and KPIs.Identifies persistent or critical challenges, leveraging lessons and insights from clinical and operational teams, and other key supply chain customers within IH.Represents IH at governance committees, including PHSA’s Category Management and Supply Chain Operations Committees.Provides input into shaping the provincial supply chain strategy, policies, and metrics, while advocating for the unique and nuanced needs of IH, including business continuity requirements.Ensures IH’s requirements are represented for evaluation of contracts and product selection, and operational logistics improvements.Remains informed of end-to-end supply chain processes and leading practices in order to set a standard for strategic solutions, initiatives, and plans of the provincial supply chain to meet IH’s goals and objectives.Gathers and presents IH’s concerns, needs and other positions at governance committees and to senior leadership of IH and provincial bodies.Collaborates and negotiates with PHSA’s Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer.Leads and participates in change management actions with the objective of transforming supply chain practices for efficiency, standardization and best practices.Recommends, develops and maintains IH policies and procedures for supply chain, procurement and logistics in alignment with any provincial guidelines or requirements.Develops and implements human resources and financial practices, planning processes and information technology systems.Manages the communications and political considerations around supply chain issues and decisions impacting IH operations.Provides oversight and direction for operational policies and procedures for a corporate fleet of over 200 vehicles, distributed across the IH region and is accountable for allocating resources, financial planning, approval of budget recommendations and remedial strategies related to fleet operations.Accountable for developing and recommending budget and monitoring expenditures, variance analysis and reporting and recommending remedial action in partnership with external and internal parties, as it pertains to Supply Chain across Interior Health.Develops and presents to IH leadership, including Strategy and Risk Management Committee, policy, risk, strategy and operational recommendations to optimize the utilization and effectiveness of the corporate fleet.In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.Honouring Interior Health’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), and Pursuant to Section 42 of the BC Human Rights Code, preferential consideration and/or hiring will be given to qualified applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).
