About the role:

The Employee Experience Specialist will oversee the office and cultivate an engaging workplace where employees feel connected, valued, and motivated. They will enhance Wave’s culture, creating a positive and memorable employee experience.


Here's how you'll make an impact:
  • Design and implement programs and initiatives to boost employee connectedness and morale, including organizing virtual, in-person, or hybrid events for employees, milestone and service awards, and other team-building activities.
  • Responsible for ordering Wave employee swag and coordinating new hire kits.
  • Create and send employee communications for events, wave-anniversary (anniversaries), and various holidays throughout the year.
  • Responsible for overseeing the health and safety of the office by conducting monthly inspections. Work in collaboration with the P&C Team to ensure the office complies with all legislative requirements.
  • Act as a worker member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
  • Ensure routine maintenance and inspection of the office is completed in a timely manner, completing required reports for office safety, maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage third-party vendors to facilitate the management of the Collaboration Centre.
  • Utilize feedback and suggestions for continued improvement.
  • Support People & Culture team DEI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
  • Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s purpose, mission, and values.
  • Purchase office supplies and groceries, stocking supplies and groceries, arranging mail-outs, and other ad hoc items required for the office.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and guests.
  • Support the P&C Operations Specialist with orientation and acting as a backup as required.
  • Maintaining First Aid and JHSC Certification.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-centric positions.
  • Previous experience with event planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act with empathy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Strong and engaging presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • JHSC experience is an asset.
  • First Aid training certification is an asset.
