Yellowknife, Canada Arctic Kingdom Wilderness Operations Inc Full time

The Aurora shift role is key in the success of product delivery to guests. This role requires a keen attention to detail and energy to shift between work focuses throughout the evening and early morning hours. It is your responsibility to close the bar each night and ensure all health and safety practices are followed. You are responsible for keeping programming and guest services available as offered to guests late at night and into the early morning hours, and perhaps most importantly, you are responsible for notifying guests when aurora appears in the sky. You must be a self-starter and able to follow lists and directions during your shift when guests are asleep (such as restocking, assisting with laundry, etc.).

Duties will be focused around the site, but opportunity to participate in activities outside the site will be offered at the Manager's discretion when possible.

Please note that this is a general job description that is slightly different in summer/fall than winter/spring. Some responsibilities may not be applicable to every season.

Working in an off-grid community environment requires flexibility, communication, and the expectation that no day is the same. There are job requirements that may not be listed here.
